Labels identify the items
Graham Process Maps display the flow for each item in the
process, and show where data on one item is used by another. In the
example below, Shipping papers sit on the loading dock until they are
removed from the pouch by the lift truck operator. They are carried
into the Receiving Office and dropped in the in basket. They sit there
for about a half hour until they are picked up by the Secretary. The
Secretary enters information from the Shipping Papers into the Receiving Log
Book, keys information from the Shipping Papers into the Receiving Database
and then uses the Shipping Papers to check the entries. Finally, a
4-part receiving Ticket is printed from the Receiving Database.
