The
Starter Edition is a low-cost, entry-level solution for Business
Process Improvement and process development work. It
includes all of the drawing capabilities of our Professional
Edition. The software, available as a download, includes two e-booklets to guide you through your first project: "Business Process Improvement Methodology - An Introduction to Work Simplification" and "Business Process Improvement Project Guide". A "Getting Started" e-manual gets you up and running with the software quickly. Several sample charts taken from actual processes demonstrate the features of the software. |

Starter Edition Capabilities

What's the difference between the Starter
and Professional Editions? The Starter Edition was introduced with small business and independent consultants in mind. It can be used to draw charts that are identical to the charts drawn with the Professional Edition. (The Professional Edition offers color options and linking capabilities that are unavailable in the Starter Edition - These are the only visible differences between maps created with each Edition.) The Starter Edition was intended for project work and essentially provides all the capability needed to put good charts in front of improvement teams and easily update the maps as needed. The Professional Edition (our flagship product since 1990) provides additional features to support a continuous improvement program. These features include output to playscript procedures, linking between charts and to other documents, an integrity analysis report and the ability to create quick reports that list all the maps in your process map library along with selected features. It also offers versioning capabilities and the capability to set up and manage a process map review schedule.
